SEGA and Dengeki Bunko are working on a crossover fighting game. I kind of really want to play it. It’s arcade only at this point but it has Sword Art Online and Durarara!!! characters.
It also has SEGA stages.
NiGHTS into Dreams:
It doesn’t look terribly NiGHTS-esque to me, but perhaps it’s Twin Seeds or Bell Bridge or something. Maybe seeing more of the stage will reveal more NiGHTS-y stuff.

i hate when people go “i dont credit fanartists as Real artists because its fanart and they should draw more original art” ok yeah that patronizing attitude is nice and all but you know like… every piece of classical art is fanart of the bible
im sorry da vinci, the last supper doesnt COUNT as real art because its not original art and you should make some ocs
I think I just found the most compelling argument toward fanart ever
When the scallop’s shell is gaped you can see two rows of tiny, bright blue eyes. These eyes aren’t the simple light sensitive eyes that most mollusks have, they can also sense motion. So a crab or fish trying to sneak up on one and grab some flesh before the shells close will be seen before it gets even close. And if the scallop loses an eye it simply regenerates a new one in its place.
Scallops are my favorite bivalves precisely because of the alien beauty of their rows of sapphire, eerily-humanlike eyes.
I DID NOT KNOW THIS
Wow, they just rocketed up my list of favourite animals! This looks like something you’d find on a final fantasy monster. o.O
Oooh, games should totally get on the case and make Mimics with this eye configuration ^_^
If you think these are cool, look up box jellyfish and starfish eyes! (Also, the tip of every spine on a sea urchin functions as part of one big compound eye)
Not only are scallops lined with eyes, but they can swim!
They swim by rapidly clapping their shell, exactly like in Spongebob. Here’s a video:
A ridiculous silly animal
